Neostylis Lou Sneary 'Blue Bird' (Neofinetia falcata x Rhynchostylis coelestis) Compact growing Vanda-type hybrid with coerulea/indigo-tinged flowers, whose coloration becomes more prominent when grown in high light.
Neostylis blooms in summer with flowers that are fragrant by day, that rise to a crescendo of strength at night with a scent reminiscent of Jasmine. This is one of the most popular clones of Lou Sneary because of its lovely thick foliage, and white/lavender blue contrast color. In addition, this hybrid has a sweet fragrance, is easy to grow, and can flower twice yearly, once in the summer and again in the winter. Highly recommended! Grow in medium light and water when approaching dryness.

The parent Neofinetia falcata are often displayed in decorative containers and mounded in sphagnum moss. Hundreds of varieties of Neofinetia falcata exist, and the characteristics that distinguish each varies from the shape or color of the leaves or flowers, to the style of variegation their leaves bear, or even the color of the root tips! The endless variety makes them a pleasure to behold, and very collectible!
