Dendrobium anosmum 'Purple' (syn. Den. superbum) – A species found in SouthEast Asia, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand. It has a strong raspberry scent. The long slender pseudobulbs are said to grow to 3 meters (nearly 10 feet) in length. This species has varies in color from White, Lavender, Pink, Purple, Blue with dark or bright color lip. Dendrobium anosmum reach full bloom in March to May and remain in bloom for about four weeks. Under cooler conditions, the flowers may last longer. A well grown pseudobulb can produce over 100 flowers.
In general, these species require a cool Winter dry rest in order to flower well. They are heavy feeders and want abundant water in their growing cycle from April to October. Grow them in an area of filtered sunlight. Avoid direct midday sunlight, unless you are close to the mountains and have a lot of cloud cover. These Dendrobium anosmum 'Purple' have several canes with new growths. Plants look better when they are not in bloom!
NOTE: This type of Dendrobium drops its leaves just before coming into flower season. Once the plant is done flowering new growths will emerge from the base of the plant and produce keikies along the canes.

- Time to arrival/delivery quotes are generated by USPS, Fed Ex, UPS, not Orchid Design. Also keep in mind the package will not travel in a direct route but rather from one shipping hub to another.
