Brsdm. Kenneth Bivin 'Santa Barbara' AM/AOS (Oncidium cariniferum x Brassia arcuigera) is fully grown in a 4" pot and is ready for a bigger pot. It produces 10 – 25 lovely star-shaped 5"-8" flowers on a long spike. Flowers are yellow-green with mahogany blotches and spotted white lips. They are also call 'spider orchid' due to its long slender petals. This is an awarded clone from the beautiful city of Santa Barbara. These beautifully grown plants will produce big and showy flowers that are absolutely stellar! Not only that, but lean in and enjoy the tea fragrance that these flowers produce. Easy to bloom for a beginner, this Brassia hybrid will put out a show by itself in blooming season, and can bloom twice a year.
Brassias are widely distributed, usually quite vigorous epiphytic plants with few-to-many-flowered inflorescences bearing large to very large, whitish to yellowish and light brown flowers with narrow sepals and petals spotted or blotched dark brown and a large, pointed, prominent, more or less reflexed lip.
