Bllra. Diana Dunn 'Newberry' is one of the best intergeneric Oncidium hybrids. These plants get tall flower spikes and produce 7 to 12 flowers per spike on average. Large, deep magenta with maroon flowers make for a showy plant. The flowers measure about 4-4.5 inches across. Beautiful plants! Grow in cool, intermediate, or warm temps, allowing the potting mix to approach dryness between watering. Prefers medium light levels. Purplish colors in the leaves and pseudobulbs are normal for this plant. This orchid can bloom twice year!

Beallara, abbreviated Bllra. in the horticultural trade, is the nothogenus for intergeneric hybrids between the orchid genera BrassiaCochliodaMiltonia and Odontoglossum (Brs. x Cda. x Milt. x Odm.).

General Care:  The ideal temperature range for a Odotoglossum orchid is between 65-70F (daytime) and 45-55F (night) with 65% humidity.  These orchids enjoy bright, shaded light from an east facing window.  Check media for dryness.  Water when media is dry, approximately 1X/week.
We NEVER recommend using ICE CUBES to water your orchid plant.
A balanced 20-20-20 fertilizer diluted to 1/2 recommended strength can be used or we also recommend using a slow release form.  Re-pot approximately every 2 years.
