Zygopetalum triste is native to Brazil, where it grows in cloud forests among rock outcrops. This species is one of the more miniature in the genus Zygopetalum. The plant grows with rhizomes and pseudobulbs mostly under the potting mix. The long lasting flowers on upright spikes and have very pleasant peppery smell that includes a grape fragrance and is especially strong in the afternoon. This is a compact plant that is not often seen in cultivation.

- We offer local pick up at the nursery in San Jose.
