Fragrant Enc. Nursery Rhyme 'Genesis' (Enc. Atroniceum x Enc. cordigera) has attractive burgundy flowers with a fuchsia lip. They are currently (April) in spike with 7 to 12 flowers on a long spike. It is a small to medium sized, intermediate to warm growing epiphyte, which reaches 7 - 16 inches in height. You will enjoy many long lasting 2" flowers for many weeks. These Encyclia can last up to 12 weeks in intermediate to cool conditions. They are easy to grow in the same conditions as Cattleya at your windows or outside under patio or shade. Reduced water in the cold Winter. Grow bright and dry. Plants must dry out between waterings. Provide good air circulation to the roots.
